Christine Parker said the is amazed the late August heat has not dulled all the flowers in her yard on Summit. She was the winner of the August Yard of the Month contest sponsored by First Family Federal and the chamber of commerce. In addition to a gift basket from First Family, Parker also received a $25 gift certificate from Main Street Sweets. She is shown with Tara Matthews and Staci Alsover from the chamber.
