"She will be available to meet the public and sign autographs," said Henryetta chamber executive director Roy Madden. The rodeo will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 3 and 4 at the arena at Nichols Park. This is the 23rd year for the rodeo.Latham, who is a California native, is a senior at Azusa Pacific University where she studies business marketing with a background in biology. She became interested in barrel racing on her family ranch.
Madden said the rodeo will feature members of the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) with stock from the award winning Hampton Rodeo Company.
In addition to Miss Rodeo USA, nationally-known rodeo clown Gizmo McCracken will be on hand. He has performed at the largest venues professional rodeo has to offer, such as the feature act at the “Wrangler National Finals Rodeo” and Cheyenne Frontier Days.
"On Sunday, the National Anthem will be sung by Henryettan Liz Bealko," Madden said.
Presale tickets are available at Hiatt Glass, Henryetta Chamber of Commerce, Paul’s Western Store, Coalton Shavings and Feed, and Jiffy Mart.
Those tickets can be used to enter a drawing for an outdoor gas grill to be given away Sunday.
"Adult presale ticket holders will be able to deposit their ticket stub at the Chamber’s information booth on both days of the rodeo. The winner will not have to be present to win. All a ticket holder will have to do is retain the gate stub and provide their name, contact information on the back, and deposit the ticket stub in the drawing cage at the information booth."
