A four-year-old Seminole boy died Friday night in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 just west of Henryetta.
The boy was a passenger in a 2001 Mitsubishi driven by Mitchell Tilley, 29, Seminole. It was going east on the interstate approaching the start of a construction zone.
According to OHP Trooper Mark Southall, a 2016 Freightliner driven by Juganpreet Sidhu, 29, Fresno, Calif., had slowed for the construction and was struck in the rear by the Tilley vehicle.
The driver of the Mitsubishi and his wife, Kimberly, 27, were pinned in the vehicle until Henryetta firemen could use the Jaws of Life to get them out.
The driver and his wife, along with their seven-year-old daughter were flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa for treatment of injuries.
The crash backed up traffic on I-40 for several hours until the vehicles could be removed from the scene.
