James Lee McDonald, a resident of Henryetta, died Feb. 12, 2015 at his home in Henryetta at the age of 68. James was born Oct. 24, 1946 in Lamar, Colo., to Claud Ernest McDonald and Wilmith D. Collie McDonald.
James grew up in the Alva area and attended schools there and graduated from Alva High School. He also attended Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. Subsequently, James completed his education while attending school in Blacksburg, Virginia where he earned a masters degree in Physics and Mathematics.
James worked all his entire adult life, working for several years with Encyclopedia Brittanica and later with the American Medical Association. James worked in the membership department there and later was responsible for building computer firewalls within their computer systems.
James is survived by two sisters, Betty McDonald of Lawton and Linda Higby of Ft. Gibson; one brother, Michael McDonald; by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
