Fenicia Ann Akins, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died Feb. 14, 2015 at her home at the age of 76. She was born July 30, 1938 in Banning, Calif.,to Robert H. "Bob" Evans and Aileen (Newman) Evans. Fenicia was a graduate of St. Michael's High School. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries and retired from Anchor Glass Company.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one infant daughter, Doylelynn Rae.
She is survived by three children, Dina and Fred Thompson, Robbie and James Blades and Robert "Olo" Akins all of Henryetta; two brothers, Robert L. Evans of the home, David Evans and wife Jimmie Ann of Henryetta; one sister, Claudia Jo and husband Harold Harris of Okmulgee; grandchildren; Amanda and Whitney, Jennifer and Nance, Cody and Kimmy, Freddie and Darci, Trudi and Sara; ten great-grandchildren, Kenadi, Crew, Taylor, Bailee, Dareian, Brynlee, Hayden, Trae, Jasmine and Manny. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
The family will greet friends at Integrity Funeral Service Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Mike Meeks, officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
