There's more to do at McCutcheon park now that the new playground equipment is in place and open to the public.
A specail ribbon cutting ceremony was held Monday marking the start of fun for children throughout the area. The new playground includes a pair of slides, balance beam, swinging handles, rock climbing wall and pair of handicap accessible swings.
swing operationWorkers from Superior Recreational Poducts spent much of August installing the equipment that will be coupled with the recently opened splash pad to provide fun for all ages.
Mayor Jennifer Clason and interim city manager Donna White cut the ribbon with members of the chamber of commerce, city employees and HEDA on hand. Clason said long range plans call for more recreational equipment being installed. She pointed out the funds come from the motel tax and sales taxes. "I encourage everyone to buy locally. That helps us add more improvements to our town."playground tn
