Ruth Lenore Brown died Oct. 1, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born Dec. 15, 1924 to Alva Henry McClellan and Ruth "Dohrer" (Door) McClellan in Wetumka.
She attended school at District 32, Weleetka Public School, and graduated as Valedictorian from Dustin Public School in 1943.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Wives of World War II Submarine Veterans.
She and Abb Brown were married in 1947 and had a son, Bradley, and a daughter Jeanin.
They opened Brown's Auto and Tractor Garage in 1947. She assisted in operation of garage, farming, and ranching. She was a clerk at Dustin Post office for 25 years, Dustin town clerk, and a news correspondent for Holdenville Daily News.
Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Chris, and her husband Abb.
Ruth is survived by her son, Bradley married Cynthia, who had 2 sons,
Daniel and Jeremy;  daughter Jeanine Married James Harjo, who had 2 daughters, Jessica and Vanessa. Jeremy and Jasmine had 3 daughters, Samantha, Natalie, and Isabella. Jessica and Chris had 2 sons, Keaton and hunter. Vanessa and Nathan had 1 son, James. Ruth had two grandsons, two granddaughters, three great granddaughters, and three great grandsons.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Integrity Chapel (410 E. Trudgeon St.) in Henryetta with Rev. Kyle Kiner, officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dustin, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
