Henryetta fire and police personnel were busy on two sides of town within 30 minutes Wednesday.
They first responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 75 and East Main then had to run to West Meacham for a broken gas line.75 wreck
The crash happened around 2 p.m. when a southbound vehicle stopped for the light at Main Street. The car following it apparently failed to stop in time striking the first auto in the rear.
Ambulance personnel were called to the scene after a passenger in the lead vehicle reported some injuries. That individual was taken to Hillcrest Henryetta hospital for treatment.
car gasWhile fire crews were on that call, another accident was reported when a compact car apparently struck a gas meter in front of a home near Ninth and Meacham.
No injuries were reported in that accident and the gas was shut off before it could pose a danger.
