The weather was perfect for the nearly 500 people present at the Worship in the Park Friday.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better time and I appreciate everyone who came to worship and participate,” said organizer James Page.
A number of local churches and other vendors were on hand to provide food and information to those attending. Popular with the children were the petting zoo that included a friendly camel and zebra.
The eening started with a tribute to local veterans. Members of both the Boy and Girl Scouts presented each of the veterans with a flag and packet of gifts.
Page said he is already planning another event in April. More information will be made available as that date nears.
