Juanita Green, a resident of Henryetta, died Feb. 16, 2015 at the age of 94.
She was born Aug. 16, 1921 in Hanna to Lorinzo D. and Flora (Youngblood) Taber. She was a waitress at Jim and Mary's and Patty Ann Restaurant and also worked at OTASCO. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Secretary of the Hannah Sunday School Class; The Rebeccas; and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Her husband, Charley Edmond Green, whom she married April 8, 1939, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Sonny Green, brothers Bill, Virgil, and Troy Taber and one sister, Bessie Horn.
She is survived by her children: Jeanette Feken and the late Jerry of Moore, Paulette Rogers and husband Nip of Henryetta, Kay Berryhill and the late Perry of Broken Arrow, James “Buddy" and Sue Green of Henryetta, and Dean and Jan Green of Henryetta; grandchildren: Ron Feken, Kim Partin, D. Perkins, Shannon Hancock, Norman L Rogers Jr.,Kevin and Keith Green, Julie Berryhill, Kara Lee, Jennifer Turley, Stephen Micheal, Angie and Robert Green; 23 great-grand and 1 great-great-grand-daughter.
Viewing for Jaunita will be Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Henryetta with Rev. Jack Vance and Rev. Rick Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Senora Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home in Henryetta.
