Alan John Wilson, a resident of Henryetta, died Oct. 26, 2016 in Henryetta at the age of 37. Alan was born Jan. 15, 1979 in Hemet, Calif.
He grew up in California and later moved to Okmulgee. Alan served for several years in the U.S. Army before his honorable discharge. He worked for several years as an oilfield roughneck for several different oilfield service providers. Alan married to Charla Rae Polk Oct. 15, 2015 in VanBuren, Ark.
Alan is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Marie Packwood; and his step-father, Timothy Mize.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Mize of California; wife, Charla Wilson of Henryetta; eight children: Raena Wilson of Okmulgee, A.J. Wilson of Okmulgee, Omega Polk of Dewar, Shyla Maldonado of Henryetta, Skye Maldonado of Henryetta, Heaven Crofutt of Henryetta, Charlie Crofutt of Henryetta, and soon-to-be-born, Greyson Alexander Wilson of Henryetta; brother, Delwayne Mize and wife Johnnie of Florida; two sisters, Rebeckah Mize-White and husband Brandon of Stillwell, and Anna Johnson of Okmulgee; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Smith of California; and by many nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. at The First Baptist Church of Okmulgee with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating.
