This weekend is going to see a bunch of Henryetta youngsters playing for bragging rights on the football field.
The youth football season is going to close with two of the Henryetta teams, the first and second grade and fifth and sixth graders, shooting for a silver ball while the Henryetta third and fourth grade will be going for the gold. Two of those games will be played out of town while the other will be on the Henryetta field.
That championship series will start for the third and fourth graders when they take on Rejoice here starting at 1:30. They will then play the winner of the noon Liberty and Beggs matchup for the title.
The Henryetta first and second grade will play at 6 p.m. at NOAH against Rejoice. Henryetta’s fifth and sixth grade travels to Beggs for a 6 p.m. match against Inola.

All three teams are going to be the center of attention Friday afternoon at a pep rally downtown.
It will start at 4 p.m. at the Cowboy pocket part on Main. All three teams will be holding a short parade along Main Street to generate enthusiasm for the playoffs.
