An attempt to avoid hitting a coyote resulted in a crash involving a jeep and a Mason school bus Thursday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Tracy Prim, 46, was driving east on the Mason road when she tried to avoid hitting a coyote. She swerved into the path of a school bus carrying 20 students to class.
Two of the students were said to have received minor arm and leg injuries but were not taken to the hospital at that time. Prim sustained minor arm and head injuries and was treated and released from the Creek nation hospital in Okemah.
