Nearly 100 people paid homage to the memory of Jim Shoulders Saturday night.
Even though absent, he was still the guest of honor at the annual Historical Society Founders Day banquet held at the high school cafeteria.
His life was put together in a video from childhood through his rodeo years when he garnered 16 World Championship titles and into the later years at his ranch southeast of Henryetta. Narrating the Shoulders story was Rev, Marcus Whitworth.
On hand to tell of other personal details were his wife Sharon as well as Marvin Paul and Lori Shoulders and Jamie Shoulders Doak.
The evening included a silent and live auction with proceeds to be used by the Society for expenses at the Territorial Museum.
