Henryetta has a lot of homes that, due to age, neglect or lack of funds provide little more than just a shelter from the cold wind of winter.
cold homePublic Service Company of Oklahoma has a home weatherization program that has already helped some residents get relief as well as reduce their energy bills.
That program affected 44 homes in Henryetta from January 2015 through November 2016. That provided $80,222 worth of improvements ranging from attic
insulation, air and duct sealing, even energy-saving LED light bulbs.
It is a free program and just requires a phone call to PSO to get the process started.
The program is open to homeowners and renters with a household income of less than $45,000 annually. “That income guideline was changed in 2016 to include the renters and income increase,” said Lyle Stogner, PSO customer service representative.
He said anyone interested should call 888-776-1366. “Once accepted, PSO service provider Titan ES will perform an energy assessment at your home. Based on the results of the assessment, PSO may provide free energy upgrades to your home,” Stogner added.
