David Jacobs, a resident of Wewoka, died Jan. 28, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 64. He was born Sept. 14, 1952 in rural McIntosh County to Joseph Jacobs, Sr. and Emma (Billie) Jacobs. He is a member of Hickory Ground #1 Indian Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jacobs, Sr. and Emma (Billie) Jacobs; two brothers, James Jacobs and Paul Eugene Jacobs, an infant son, Daniel Lee Jacobs, also by two infant sisters, two aunts, and five uncles.
He is survived by three sons: Houston Jacobs of Calvin, Richard Jacobs of Wewoka and Charles Jacobs of Oklahoma City; two daughters: Josephine Jacobs of Allen and Joanna Jacobs of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren, including a grandson Charles Jacobs who he raised like a son; two sisters:  Linda Jacobs Harjo and husband Edward of Holdenville and Martha Jacobs of Henryetta; three brothers: Johnny Jacobs of Henryetta, Joseph Jacobs, Jr. of Okmulgee and Russell Jacobs of Henryetta; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing will be held Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Wake services will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Hickory Ground #1 Indian Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hickory Ground #1 Church with Rev. Mitchell Taylor and Rev. Wallace Gambler officiating. Interment will follow in Jacobs Family Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
