As of noon Monday, five people had filed for seats on the Henryetta city council. The filing period runs through 5 p.m. Wednesday.
clason filesIncumbents Jana Duggan and Jennifer Clason are being challenged by Buck Sheward and Ronald Lee. Former council member Bill Goodner was the fifth person filing.
Duggan and Lee are seeking the ward 3 position while Clason and Sheward are filing for the ward 4 slot. Goodner is running for the council member at large job.
Clason won her council seat in 2013, winning handily over Sheward and Bob Patterson.
Duggan was appointed to the city council this past year.
Sheward has been a consistant critic of the city council and has been the driving force behind two petitions submitted to the State Auditor's office.
The city election will be held April 4.
