There are still a couple of days left to buy the raffle tickets for the Henryetta Education Foundation.

The Foundation will be awarding the prizes Saturday night at the annual fundraising banquet set at the high school cafeteria starting at 6 p.m.
Prizes this year will be two nights in Branson at the Big Cedar Lodge as well as a pair of tickets to the Dixie Stampede and Silver Dollar City. A second prize will be a couple of OKC Thunder tickets as well as a carriage ride in the Brockton District and dinner for two at Toby Keith’s.

The Henryetta Education Foundation was organized in 1997, as a tax deductible, non-profit public foundation. It is not a part of the Henryetta school system yet provides scholarships and teacher’s grants for student programs.
Another part of the organization provides funds to allow students to experience arts and culture outside the classrooms. That has included trips to musicals, Broadway production plays and trips to museums in Tulsa.

Foundation members are urging local residents to be a part of the program through tax-deductible contributions. Those can be in the form of a one-time donation, monthly or yearly contributions and can be in the memory of a family member or former teacher.

At the dinner Saturday night, a silent auction is held with a number of items donated by local businesses.
Tickets to the dinner can be purchased at the door. The raffle tickets will be available during the dinner or may be purchased from any of the financial institutions in Henryetta.
