Dr. Clarence Alfred (C.A.) Riser, 75, a former Henryettan and retired doctor died Sunday at his home in Glenpool.
C.A. was born Jan. 28, 1942 in Henryetta. He was a 1960 graduate of Henryetta High School where he was Student Body President. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and OU Medical School. He lived for many years in Baytown, Texas where he practiced medicine until he retired in 2013. He was active in the Citizens Police Academy, Friends of the Library, and many professional and service organizations.
In 2015, C.A. and Cathy moved to Glenpool to be near his sisters. He became active in South Side Rotary of Tulsa and was a member of the Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by sister, Ann Riser Canon, his parents, Grace McKinney Riser and Clarence Alfred Riser, Sr., and his grandparents, Garland Y. McKinney, M.D. and Cecile McKinney.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy, of the home; two sisters: Pat McCoy, and Lyn Wyatt and her husband, Norman, all of Glenpool; two sons: Jacob Riser and his wife, Shannon, and their children, Madalyn, Ella, Jack, and Nate; his son, Jed Riser and daughter Hannah, who is serving in the Navy on the aircraft carrier, Carl Vinson; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Houck, her husband, Nick, and their children Rhiannon and Hayden, and stepson Lee Green, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
A “Celebration of Life” is scheduled in Tulsa Friday evening, March 24, 2017. Family and friends who would like to attend should contact family at 281-451-9082.
