A free emergency notification service is being offered to Okmulgee County residents.
CodeRED is designed to let people know about missing children, emergency preparedness, road closures, criminal activity and severe weather emergencies.
In the events of these issues, CodeRED will send out a text, email or phone calls.
“People need to save the number, 866-419-5000, so they will recognize when they receive an emergency call,” said Henryetta fire chief David Billard.
He said the free service is available by registering at www.okmulgeeonline.com then clicking on Emergency Notification System.
