Betty Lou Davis, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died April 20, 2017 in Okmulgee at the age of 87. She was born Feb. 28, 1903 in Gueda Springs, Kans., to Richard Brady and Ola Belle (Craddock) Brady. She married Shirl Davis, March 8, 1948 in Ft. Smith, Ark.
Betty was a member of the Dewar United Pentecostal Church. For many years she operated a pet shop out of her home selling tropical fish and birds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Shirl Davis, a son-in-law, Bill Casey, three brothers, Bob Brady, Richard Brady, and Jim Brady.
Betty is survived by three children: Norma Barnett of Henryetta, Rita Casey of Morris and Carl "Pete" Davis and wife Sunny of Pueblo West, Colo.; four grandchildren: Amy Barnett of Jenks, Darcy Hunter and husband Todd of Henryetta, Dawna Peters and husband Colby of Sapulpa and T. Lacey Davis-Lee and husband David of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; eight great grandchildren: T. J. Hunter, Nicole Stange, Kelby Morgan, Daisy VanMeter, Savanna Peters, Evan Peters, Tuner Lee and Eveline Lee; two great-great grandchildren, Wyatt Stange and Chazalyn Owen; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
