The Lady Knights crowned three regional qualifier tennis champions Saturday and one second place winner.
Playing in chilly, damp and windy conditions on their home courts, HHS took first place in the 1 and 2 doubles and 2 singles.
Sophomore Natalie Smith continued her string of victories for the HHS 2 singles when she defeated Okmulgee’s McKenzie Moen in straight sets after drawing a bye in the opening rounds. She went ahead to win over Erica Kelley from Riverfield 2,3.Natatie Smith 4 22 17a
Summer Bryant and Rachel Montgomery chalked up 1 doubles wins over Victory Christian and Wagoner for their win.
In 2 doubles, Bailey Davis and Taylor Hodge claimed wins over Victory Christian and Riverfield to take the championship.
After starting out with a 1,0 win over Wagoner’s Katy Roberts, HHS senior Fallon Rodgers lost to Alicia Moore from Riverfield in the 1 singles.
