Two HHS graduates have made their marks at Rogers State University.
Colton Green and Hailey Gillispie had track spectators on their feet at Joplin as they competed in the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational.
Gillispie finished second in the 800 meter run with a school-record and personal-best time of 2:17.36. She came in seventh in the women’s 5,000 meter run with a time of 20:00.15.
Green won a conference championship in the 5,000 meters last weekend at the Great American Conference, became the second Hillcat to run under four minutes in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:57.05. The personal best time put him in second place. He is the only second RSU runner to break 15 min mark in school History.
