Freda Loretta Clayton-Smith was born May 11, 1940 in Vivian, Okla., to George Washington Clayton and Chloe Bell Brison-Clayton. Freda died May 7, 2017 at the age of 76 years in Henryetta.
She attended Hanna, public schools. She married Charles T. Smith Feb. 18, 1956 in Henryetta. Charles was active-duty in the Military and Freda accompanied him throughout his military career.
Freda was preceded in death by her father George Washington Clayton and her Mother Chloe Bell Brison-Clayton. Two sisters Viola Fern Clayton-Carl and Betty Lou Clayton-Whaley. Two brothers Earl Roy Clayton and Fred Franklin Clayton.
She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Smith; two sons: Charles D. Smith and wife Claudette Smith of Henryetta and Edward O. Smith and wife Cristie Smith of McLoud; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and multiple cousins.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Pharaoh. Pastor Roy Rogers will be officiating with Interment at Hanna Cemetery, Hanna. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
