The newest Henryetta Chamber of Commerce member, Bell Mansion, was welcomed with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday.
Located in Weleetka, Bell Mansion has been a landmark along US 75 since 1908 when a three-year construction project started by William Markley Bell.
Ibell ribbon cutt was a centerpiece in the community for decades but had been sitting empty for about 14 years after previous owners, Kent and Edweena Harrell moved away.
Even though living away, the Harrells were still attached to the home. That lasted until their deaths in 1912 and 1915.
Besides being a home for only four families during it’s century of existence, the building has also served as a site for piano lessons and even a beauty shop.
This past year the 106-year-old mansion was purchased by Annette Sisson and Michelle Gann.
Since then, the pair have spent a lot of time and elbow grease restoring the structure and turning it into a bed and breakfast.
An open house and grand opening was held May 6.
Members of the Henryetta chamber as well as the Weleetka Pride committee were on hand to breath new life back into the building.
