This Friday and Saturday will see the 11th annual Jim Shoulders Spring Roundup rodeo delight young and old rodeo fans.
Set at the Living Legends Rodeo arena at Nichols Park, the rodeo will start at 8 each evening and features some of the best riders and ropers from throughout Oklahoma.
“This is affordable for the whole family,” said Henryetta Chamber of Commerce president Tammie Hiatt. “Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.” She said children five years of age or under can see the rodeo free of charge.
lattinHighlighting the rodeo both nights will be trick rider Windy Ratchford-Lattin. This will her second appearance in Henryetta. She delighted the audience with her riding skills in 2015.
Lattin, from Wynnewood, has been riding since she was 13. She has since performed at the National Finals and International Finals rodeos. Lattin has also been a performer at the Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show.
The state high school bareback rider, Jayco Roper is expected to be on hand for the rodeo. He won his state title this year and is from nearby Oktaha.
Advance discount tickets are available at Jiffy Mart, Paul's Western Store, Coalton Shavings and Feed, and Hiatt Window and Glass. By buying ahead, rodeo fans can save $2 off each age group price.
