A several hours long journey ended in a Texas jail for two people after they allegedly stole a pickup in Henryetta Monday.
stolen truckThe two are accused of taking a 1998 Toyota pickup from the Carl Dickey Auto Sales lot on East Trudgeon.
According to Dickey, the two came to the lot shortly before noon and asked to test drive several vehicles. They settled on the pickup and drove it off the lot saying they were going to take it to a mechanic.
On Saturday, the two had taken test drives in five cars at another car dealer in town. According to an employee at The Oil Pit, they came by Dickey's lot on Saturday but were told it was closed. They told both auto dealers they were in Henryetta to apply for work at Anchor Glass.
When they test drove the vehicles Monday, Carl Don Dickey accompanied them several times.
Both individuals were apprehended in Wheeler, Texas late Monday.
Within minutes of the theft, the incident, along with a photo of the truck was posted on Facebook.
