Izora (Beaver) Carter, a resident of Okmulgee, died July 9, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 70. Izora was born April 30, 1947 in Hanna to Thomas Beaver and Abbie Cummings Beaver.
She grew up in Hanna and attended school at the Eufaula Boarding School from the first through seventh grade. She later moved back to Hanna and completed her education there. Izora spent most of her adult life working as an accomplished seamstress. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; a son, Ronnie Joe Davis; a sister, Juanita Kelly; a sister, Nancy Bruner; a sister, Joycetta Bark; and by her husband, Earl Carter.
Viewing will be held at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta July 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. A wake service for Izora will be held Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Weogufkee Indian Baptist Church in Hanna with Rev. J.R. Wisdom officiating. Interment will follow at Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Butler, Brent Butler, Cameron Fixico, William Fixico, and Allan Colbert.
