In honor of Constitution week, Sheldon Starr gave an inspiring program, “Your Rights Under the Constitution.” She stated, “The rights guaranteed to us by the Constitution are, without a doubt, the greatest treasure we possess. The time has come for all of us to stop and think how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy the freedom that we have. It is time to stop taking this priceless inheritance for granted and start defending that which others have fought for—that it might be ours. The Constitution gives us the foundation for a free, prosperous and independent life for every citizen; but each generation, in time, must work for and claim it. Otherwise, through carelessness or indifference the rights and liberties we have enjoyed may vanish.”
The chapter welcomed the newest member into the chapter, Angela Turney Polk, from Wagoner. Regent Brandley administered the Oath of Allegiance following a prayer by Chaplain, Susan Barnett.
