Berna Dean Agee, better known as Dean was born June 30, 1931 in Henryetta to Lytle Brookey and Beulah (Hunt) Brookey. She died Oct. 3, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 86.
Dean married George Franklin Agee on July 14, 1950 in Henryetta. They were blessed with two sons, George Michael and Mark Edward, as well as the daughter of her heart, Kathy Seacrest.
Dean was named after the Coal Ship "Bernadean". Her mother thought the name pretty, but Dean wasn't fond of "Berna", so she went by her middle name. She was quite business savvy and owned and operated Leisure Time Video in Jenks as well as Cimarron Construction and Maintenance, Inc. Dean also worked as the office manager for Air Comfort in Jenks for several years.
Dean had been active in the local Business & Professional Women's Club, the "Kay's Beauty Salon Club and Beaver Street Baptist Church where she was active in the adult ladies Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
She is survived by her husband of over 67 years, George: two sons: George Michael Agee and his wife Jeanette of Cleveland and Mark Edward Agee of Mannford; one god-daughter; Kathy Seacrest: three grandchildren: Ben Agee and his wife Aubree, Joel Agee, Scott Agee and his wife Sarah; two great-grandchildren: Lorna Agee and Clive Agee; brother-in-law: Phil Agee and his wife Diana of Henryetta; two sisters-in-law: Dixie Hutchison and her husband John of Overland Park, KS and Edith "Babe" Traylor of Van Buren, AR, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and longtime friends.
Viewing hours will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Hargrove-Marker Funeral Home in Jenks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Beaver Street Baptist Church, 102 W. Beaver St. Jenks 74037. Pastor Terry Jarrard will officiate. Burial will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry at 3 p.m.
