Neal Douglas Lackey, a resident of Henryetta, died Oct. 21, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 81. He was born Dec. 11, 1935 in Hitchita to Omer Lackey and Irene Anglin Lackey.
Neal was a member of the Quarter Horse Association, Oklahoma Automobile Dealer Association and was an original member of the Jaycees. He owned and operated Lackey Used Cars in Henryetta for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Irene Lackey, brother Tommy Lackey, sister, Peggy Durbin, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmie and Thelma Ruth, and brother-in-law, Jimmie Lee Ruth.
Neal is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Lackey of the home; three daughters: Julie Huckeby of Henryetta, Jamie Arnold and husband Larry of Henryetta and Leslye Lackey and Mike Althaus of Henryetta; five grandchildren: Megan Lackey of Henryetta, Josh Gilbert and wife Robin of Tulsa, Matt Beard and Brentney Rich of Henryetta, Jeff Gilbert and Christian Pak of Oklahoma City, and Michael Huckeby and fiance Myriam Nunez of El Paso, Tex.; five great grandchildren: Maddox Lackey, Kennadie Beard, Logan Beard, Shelby Jestice, and Latha Beard; very special cousin, Debi Andrews of Dennison, Tex., as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Integrity Funeral Service with the family present to greet from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Josh Gilbert, Jeff Gilbert, Matt Beard, Mike Althaus, Larry Arnold, Lloyd Andrews. Honorary Pallbearers, Fred Jones, Tom Henry, Bob Mace, Robert Gerety, Dutch Vandenborn, and Darrell Wells.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., October 26, 2017 at the First Christian Church in Henryetta, Oklahoma (412 N. 5th Street) with Rev. Dale Huckabay, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
