It took one game for the Lady Knights to get their bats working at Preston and, when they did, they went into overtime. In a three-game series, Henryetta scored a total of 37 runs while allowing their opponents to only get eight. Henryetta downed Wyandotte 5-4 then run-rulled Okmulgee 14-2. HHS-Okmulgee video highlights: | The Thursday action started slowly for the Lady Knights with a 5-4 win over the Lady Bears from Wyandotte. Both teams remained scoreless through the first four innings then Wyandotte strung together four runs. Henryetta got on the board in the sixth with runs by Kamarie Wallace and Ally Flanary. Wallace, Alyssa Osterdock and Maddie Gouge won the game in the bottom of the seventh with their runs. |
A two-run homer by the Okmulgee in the first inning brought a momentary scare in the second game. Henryetta fans breathed a lot easier as eight out of the ten Lady Knights posted runs when they came to bat.
