Henryetta mayor Jennifer Clason received a protective order against Howard “Buck” Sheward Friday.
The order from judge Pandee Rameriz stemmed from an alleged incident Friday morning when Clason was leaving a gym on Main Street.
She said Sheward parked his car at the side of the gym and walked around the building. She said he approached her then returned to his vehicle when he saw her using her phone to capture images of him.
A hearing is schedule Nov. 7 before judge Ken Adair.
Sheward is a constant critic of Clason and Henryetta’s city council. He has been the driving force behind two petitions to the Oklahoma State Auditor’s office.
Currently, he is the defendant in a lawsuit by Fountain View Manor. He has also been the defendant in a protective order issued to Clason that has since expired.
In 2012, similar protective orders were obtained against him by former city manager Raymond Eldridge.
