Joan Dickey has been appointed as a state officer for the Order of the Eastern Star. Dickey will serve as Grand Ruth for Oklahoma’s Grand Chapter until October 2018 under the Worthy Grand Matron Lana Jameson and Worthy Grand Patron Clark Christensen.
Dickey has lived in the Henryetta area all her life and is a member and incoming Worthy Matron for Order of the Eastern Star Henryetta Chapter #175. She and her husband, Dale, of 53 years joined the Henryetta Chapter in November 1971. Since then, Dickey has served many offices of the Order. She was a personal page to Maxine Polston, Grand Electa, in 1980-81 and has served as District Deputy for the last two years.
Dickey said she looks forward to traveling the state with the Grand Family, making new friends and sharing her love and joy with the Order of the Eastern Star.
