R. B. "Bud" Adams, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died Nov. 28, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 83. Bud was born Nov. 25, 1934 in Porum to Rufus P. and Edna Adams.
He was a veteran serving with the United States Army. He married Sharon Salmon April 27, 1962 in Pritchard, Alabama. He worked for many years as Vice President of Bill Miller, Inc. in Henryetta before his retirement. He was a member of the Apostolic House of Prayer.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Karen Adams Westland, brothers, Cecil Adams and Maurice Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon Adams of the home; three daughters: Janet Wion of Sapulpa, Cathy Prevett and husband Carl of Glenpool and Angie Denny and husband Doyle of Owasso; nine grandchildren: Tania Bardin of Henryetta, Cortney Dick and husband Jason of Owasso, Brittany Roberds and husband Tyler of Preston, Zack Prevett of Henryetta, Mallory Wion of Kentucky, Bailey Aguinaga and husband Ben of Washington, D.C., Lincoln Denny of Owasso, McKenzie Westland and Madden Westland both of Stockton, Calif.,; six great grandchildren: Peyton Dick, Cambree Dick, Nolan Prevett, Harper Roberds, Coraline Roberds, and Everly Roberds; sister, Alice Blackmon of Tulsa; as well as nieces, nephews, a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Bud will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Scott Randall, Rev. Mike Flint, and Sis. Judy Wainwright officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
