Tony Dwight Tolbert, a resident of rural Hanna, died Nov. 30, 2017 at his home in Hanna at the age of 49. Tony was born Jan. 22, 1968 in Tulsa to Willie Dwight Tolbert and Janett Sue Graham Tolbert.
Tony moved with his family to the Hanna area where he grew up and later graduated from Hanna High School, and was a member of the Hanna High School baseball team. Following high school, Tony began working as a carpenter, beginning as a carpenter with Leon Powell Construction. In 1993, Tony established Tolbert Construction Company. Tony met and married the love of his life, Janet Carol Goodner on December 16, 1993 in Fayetteville, Ark. They remained happily married for 24 years until his death. Tony and Janet were past members of the Lake Crest House of Prayer in Chouteau. Tony is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Tolbert and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Carol Tolbert of the home in Hanna; two sons: Nicholas Lee Tolbert of Hanna and Matthew John Tolbert of the home; three sisters: Tina French and husband Mickey of Longtown, Okla., Tammy Bogle and husband Michael of Hanna, and Tonya Colette and husband Paul of Checotah; his father and mother, Willie Tolbert and Janett Sue Tolbert of Hanna; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Verna Goodner of Henryetta; his brothers-in-law, John William Goodner of Irving, TX and Joe Goodner and wife Teresa of South Jordan, UT; and a large and loving family; and by many good friends.
A memorial service will be held at Hanna School Gymnasium at 4 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 with Rev. Carl Eslinger officiating. Service and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Tolbert, Matthew Tolbert, John Goodner, Joe Goodner, Randy Bogle, Kenny Bogle, Paul Collette, and Michael Bogle.
