Henryetta school board members hired Reann Crenshaw to finish out the 2017-18 school year as a third grade teacher.
That approval came after a nearly two-hour executive session Monday night. Much of that executive session dealt with the evaluation of superintendent Dwayne Noble. The board unanimously approved his evaluation.
In other board business, a $1,181.93 settlement was approved for Jesse Longley. It corrected a payroll error from January 2016.
Also approved were the fundraisers for the HHS girls golf and student council as well as the agreement with the Henryetta Education Association.
scalesBoard members declared an old scale and test equipment as surplus. The superintendent said both were found while cleaning up the science lab. “A student saw it and said he wanted it for his house,” Noble said.
The board put a $1 price tag on each item and declared them surplus.
Noble said the new FFA barn exterior is nearly completed. “We are waiting on the door and some trim,” Noble said. He was told by FFA advisor Cody Dawson that students are ready to move ten head of swine into the building with it is completed.
“I’m loving the FFA program,” said board president James Williams.
