Zelvern (Brown) Pinkston, a resident of Claremore, formerly of Henryetta, died Jan. 21, 2018 in Claremore at the age of 90. She was born Feb. 14, 1927 in Pope County, Arkansas to William Barker Brown and Rosetta (Harris) Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sisters, Mabel Watteau, Jewell Mae Ellis, Aretha Brown, and Geneva Evans.
Zelvern is survived by her son, Clifford McKennie Pinkston Jr. of Tiger Mountain; daughter, Linda (Pinkston) Reynolds and husband Jerry of Claremore; three grandchildren: Clifford McKennie Pinkston III of Oklahoma City, Vicki Mims and husband Robert of Milton, Florida, and Chris Reynolds of Tulsa; nine great grandchildren; three sisters: Aftin Lea Jones and husband Clifton of Bokoshe, Emma Lea Smith of Sallisaw, and Genice Sharp and husband Ron of Modesto, Calif.; brother, Ralph Kenneth Brown of Sallisaw, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Integrity Chapel (410 East Trudgeon St.) in Henryetta with Rev. A.J. Tiger, officiating and Rev. Jack Vance, assisting. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta.
