District attorney Rob Barris is looking over a Henryetta police report that names six people in connection with the March 4 vandalism at both the Henryetta and Morris schools. His office will make the final decision as to the charges that will be filed against the individuals.
The six, including three who were students in Henryetta at the time of the incident, are alleged to have broken out bus and school windows as well as several water faucets.
That vandalism occurred during the early morning hours after a snow and ice storm cancelled classes the next day at both schools.
Police chief Steve Norman said the six were considered prime suspects nearly from the very start of the investigation. He said a pickup they were in was stopped by local police that morning.
The Henryetta students have been suspended from school. Two of them are seniors and they were banned from classes through the rest of the school year. A juvenile also received suspension through the remainder of this school year and the first semester of the 2015-16 school year.
