Henryetta's Lady Knights are second-ranked in the 5A slow-pitch standings across the state.
The season is getting ready to close out its first month and the girls have posted a 9-1 record. That ties them with Cache for the second place honors.
Holding down first in the rankings is Sequoyah-Tahlequah with a perfect 13-0 season. Morris is the only other area school in the top 20, coming in at 15.
The lady Knights won their ninth game Monday night with a 6-0 shutout against Liberty.
They scored four runs in the third inning then Alyssa Osterdock parked a two-run homer in the fourth. She had hit a double in the third followed by Kamarie and Mykaela Wallace and Ally Flanary each picking up singles. They scored on RBI hits.
Liberty managed to get eight runners on base throughout the seven-inning contest but the Lady Knights shut down any chance of them scoring.
