John Dale Marshall a former Henryetta resident, died in Houston, Tex., April 1, 2018 at the age of 77. He was born April 4, 1940 to Thomas and Gladys (Mitchell) Marshall of Henryetta. John was an Air force Veteran during the Viet Nam War. He retired from Southwestern Bell and the Communication Workers of America (CWA). He moved from Henryetta to Houston in 1991.
He is preceded in death by his wife Judy, parents, two brothers; Charles and Thomas (Buster) Marshall and three sisters Wanda Dean Marshall, Dorothy Taber and Naomi (Newt) Freeman.
He is survived by his children: Kenneth (Butch), Steven and Tiffany, Johnna and Penny and Brian Marshall; grandchildren: Kendra and Ryan Mitchell, Kayla and Jeremy Beasley, Mason and Chance Marshall, Meagen and Adrian Martinez, Jordan and Wesley Gerren and Paden and Devon Marshall; great grandchildren: Kaydence, Chloe, Shawn, Ryan, Brylee, Justin, Jaxson,Cruz and more to come; brothers and sisters: Kenneth and Joe Marshall, Wilma Moore, (his twin) Joyce Wollard, Glenda Haney and Janet Meadows as well as many nieces and nephews and friends that are like family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
