Believe it or not, in 19 weeks the 2018-19 school year starts.
Henryetta school board members set Aug. 16 for the first day of school this coming year. That is a week before classes started for the current year.
At the April board meeting Monday, the new calendar was adopted that set May 16, 2019 as the final day of school.
The new calendar calls for teachers to report August 13 for three days of in-service work. Parent-teacher conferences are set Sept. 27 and 28 and Feb. 7 and 8.
The biggest change calls for the Christmas break to start Dec. 24 and run through Jan. 4, 2019.
Spring break will take place March 18-22.
Graduation for the 2019 seniors is set May 17, 2019.
