There are several races that will be decided by voters in the June 26 primary election.
In Okmulgee County, voters will be deciding on the District 3 county commissioner seat after James Conners and Millard Wayne Spears both filed as democrats. That will have them on the June ballot.
District 1 commissioner incumbent Ronald Ballard, a democrat, will be running against Aaron Lee Myers, a republican.
Incumbent district judge Ken Adair has Okmulgee resident Rod Wiemer seeking that post.
For the state senate district 8 seat, incumbent Roger Thompson will be facing Okemah resident Shannan Tucker, a democrat, and Marlena Nobles, Eufaula, who joined the race as an independent. They will be on the November ballot.
Scott Fetgatter, the current district 16 state representative, drew two opponents who will be on the November ballots. They are democrat Chandler Torbett, Morris, and James Delso, Henryetta, who filed as an independent.
District 24 state representative Steve Kouplen will be running against Logan J. Phillips of Mounds. Kouplen is a democrat and Phillips is a republican.
