For the first time ever, the Henryetta FFA members were able to brag about their accomplishments over the past year.
FFA members, parents and guests were at the HHS gym Friday night for the dinner marking the end of the inaugural year for the chapter.
The evening started with officers performing their opening ceremony. Since this is the first year for the organization, all FFA members were required to go through the Greehand program.
HHS sophomore Ryan Clark, chapter president, was named the FFA member of the year for his involvement in the program.
School superintendent Dwayne Noble, school maintenance director Harold Fox and Thehenryettan.com publisher Bruce Jones were all named as the first Honorary FFA Chapter Farmers.
Noble was recognized because of his efforts getting the program started here, Fox has been instrumental in helping students build a show parn and Jones has provided publicity and support for the organization.
Champter member Lela Howton received a special award marking her appearance in the FFA choir at the state convention earlier this month.
