There are still openings for youngsters wishing to attend the Henryetta Knights football camp next month.
HHS coach Darin Johnson said the camp will run from June 20 through June 22 and is open to students from first through eighth grade.
The cost of the camp is $40 per athlete but several businesses and individuals have stepped forward to pay for the camp cost for nearly 25 children.
“We had K&W Car Wash sponsor ten kids, the Henryetta Tag Agency, and Wright Ranch act as sponsors for three campers each as well as several others acting anonymously.”
Those sponsorships were made in the memory of Henryetta Knight athlete Avery Moore who died last month.
“Avery made a positive impact on so many lives and students in the community and we have people who want to preserve his memory in this way,” said Johnson.
The camp will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. each day. Registration forms were sent out through the schools but, in the event parents never received one, they can contact HHS coach Darin Johnson to get another copy.
