Dirk Walden has resigned from his position at HHS and will be taking the reins as head of the Red Oak high school when classes resume.
The 43-year-old Walden has just finished his first year at Henryetta. He was hired in Feb., 2017, coming here from Preston where he had been a coach and history teacher.
“We are sad to see him go,” said superintendent Dwayne Noble. “He has been an asset to Henryetta schools.”
Red Oak is a small school in Latimer County.
