Starting Monday, Andrew Whitham of the Oklahoma Deptartment of Veterans Affairs will be at the Henryetta VFW Post 539 building to help area veterans.Whitham will be coming to Henryetta from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month, according to VFW post commander Bill Goodner.
He said Whitham will be explaining veterans programs and benefits as well as helping vets signs up for their benefits.
“These veterans have earned and are entitled to these benefits,” said Goodner. “This is a wonderful service the Department of Veterans Affairs is providing and we at the VFW are proud to lend our support.”
