A chase that started in Henryetta ended in Okfuskee County with a motorcycle driver arrested on several charges Friday afternoon.
Henryetta police chief Steve Norman said he tried to pull over a motorcycle at 15th and Division around 4 p.m. when the driver sped away. After going west on Hornbeam Road, the fleeing suspect was said to have tried to turn onto a dirt road but lost control and laid the bike down.
He was taken into custody there and transported to Hillcrest Henryetta for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver, identified as Jamie Vicars, 31, of Wetumka, was charged with attempting to elude, driving under suspension, expired tag, improper tag display and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
