Wet road surface is said to have contributed to a crash on Interstate 40 Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened about three miles east of Okemah when a 2014 Chevrolet driven by James Gaspard, 32, Ada, apparently hydroplaned and went off the roadway.
Gaspard was pinned in the SUV when it struck a tree. He was taken to the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City for treatment of multiple injuries.
A passenger in the car, Justine Page, 33, also of Ada, was treated and released for her injuries.
