hospital workers

After a three-day hiatus, workers are once again spending time on the Hillcrest Henryetta Hospital expansion project. Work was shut down late last week after a "concerned citizen" from Henryetta made an anonymous complaint with the state. That complaint caused the state fire marshal to issue a stop work order until it could be investigated. Senator Roger Thompson was contacted by maor Jennifer Munholland over the issue and the two were able to get the project underway. In his letter to Robert Doke at the fire marshal's office, Thompson said he believes the tip came from an individual who, "is a habitual problem," and similar issues have been raised by the concerned citizen affecting Henryetta. He said the hospital project, "is critical to the hospital and the community." As a result of that letter, an agreement has been reached to have the concerns with the building permit authority investigated while allowing the expansion to continue.
